As you know, Moshi Monsters Rewritten is an online game, platform. So the part that works on the browser is actually just as much as the part that's visible on the iceberg.
That's why we developed a new client 'MMR Desktop' to protect the playability of Moshi Monsters Rewritten.

This is the Moshi Rewritten page for 'Frequently Asked Questions'. Please read this before asking a question or reporting a bug on the discord. I know it seems a lot but it should only take a couple minutes to skim through each title until you find what your looking for. Of course if you can't find an answer you can contact us at [email protected] or on our discord but please check thoroughly before hand. The basic questions are answered at the top. On PC you can use Ctrl F to search for key words.
1) “How do I play Moshi Rewritten?”
You must download the game (Available for Windows and Mac). You can find more information on the download page, you will need to use the desktop app to run most functions on the site.
2) “I cannot plant seeds in the garden”
The garden is currently under construction and will be available soon. You can use the Free Moshlings page to get any moshlings you want. You can add moshlings to your account on any device: moshirewritten.com/moshlings
3) “Can I play from my Chromebook?”
The game is now available for Linux devices, so if your Chromebook supports Linux, you can install with the Linux option on moshirewritten.com/download
4) “When does Daily Challenge Reset?”
Daily Challenge resets 24hrs after you last played it. This can be seen on your account settings.
5) “I did not receive my activation email?”
If you did not receive the activation email, you can log in directly.
6) “How do I use secret codes”
You can find a list of the available secret codes at https://moshirewritten.com/codes/
You can enter the codes on the secret codes page which is the iggy button at the bottom of the screen. If it does not work, you can click the text ‘Secret Code’ which is right at the bottom of the page.
7) “I cannot play games in the fun park.'
You can play fun park games by clicking the text ‘Fun park’ at the bottom of the screen.
8) “Is the Application safe?”
This application is definitely safe and does not contain any malicious code. However, it is unsigned as it is made by an unpublished developer, which is why you will receive a warning when you open it for the first time. See question 32 for details on how to bypass the warning if it is stopping you from playing.
9) “Is there a way to lower the sound?
Right click and outside of the brown frame and a mute option will appear.

11) “How do I create a monster”
12) “Why was my moshi account banned?”
If you gave yourself an inappropriate username, or used language inappropriate for a kids site you will have been banned. Context does not matter, the site has to be kept clean. Another reason would be the use of third-party cheating.
13) “Why can't I pick up a moshling in a mission?”
The missions are not entirely fixed in that nature, see above to get free moshlings. For now this also prevents you from progressing.
14) “Ice-cream store glitches”
Refresh and do not go into your moshling zoo, that seems to solve the issue for now
15) Garden doesn't work”
Currently it hasn't been fixed for any players
16) Underground Disco resets
Yes, at the moment the underground disco does not save your progress
17) My trophies are gone
Seems to be a recurring issue, usually solved by refreshing page. Also, make sure you know for certain that it isn't hiding behind another item or buried in your inventory.

Sadly unlikely, would be far too ambitious and likely cause problems or not look right. However, new items will continue to be made for events.
19) “My monster's colour changed back/colorama doesn't work”
Yes, this a function yet to be fully fixed.
20) “My monster's colour changes on the beanstalk or in dress-up ”
This occurs if you go to the dressup room after entering the beanstalk, fixable by refreshing.
21) “How do I earn happiness?”
Tickle your monster, buy it stuff or force feed it.
22) “Level bar won’t change.”
Either go back home or refresh and the level should display, you will still be levelling up- just not seeing it.
23) “Why can’t I play Food Factory/Mansion/Movie-Mystery?”
Food Factory, Haunted Mansion and Movie Mystery Missions were not properly saved before shut down, so it is likely they will not be restored. Unless someone comes forward, having saved the files- which is unlikely at this point.
24) “Potion in moshi mission has disappeared.”
This seems to be a recurring issue, usually doesn’t happen again if you refresh the page.
25) “Items from previous missions in my bag in current mission.”
Moshi Monsters Rewritten Discord Servers
This was on the original site; this was an unfinished attempt by mind candy to save progress before you complete a mission. It was left unfinished, and this is the result. Refresh to fix.
26) “Rox trees don’t work.”
Currently hasn’t been fixed, doesn’t break the game so isn’t a priority.
27) “I found an inappropriate name.”

28) “Monster freezes at disco”
Yes, this is a recent bug.
29) “Can't rate a room”
It still rates the room, just appears to be forever loading.
30) “Best game to level up.”
Beanstalk is the best.
31) “Gifts don't work'
Gifts have yet to be fixed
32) “App won't run due to being 'unsafe'/ an unknown developer'
This is just because it is made by an unpublished developer.
To bypass-
Mac: open System Preferences > Security and Privacy > General > Click the lock > Enter your information > Open Anyway
Windows: More info > Run anyways
33) “Clothes misplaced or missing in shops or dress-up room'
Yes, clothes are a bit messed up right now.
34) “Other people's friends tree displaying wrong amount of players'
This is an old glitch from the original site, should be fixed at some point.
35) “How do I use the Colorama?'
The Colorama does not work the same way as it did before due to lost files. The Colorama at the Port is still closed but you can now change your monster's colours in account settings https://moshirewritten.com/accountsettings/
36) “My monster went all black'
This is an new glitch that occurs when you go onto colorama and save without changing colour. To fix just wash colour or pick a new colour.
37) “Errors in relation to items in shops'
The new randomised shop update is still being refined. More details at https://moshirewritten.com/help/changes/shop-items
38) “I bought something and all my rox went.'
This is a glitch that usually only occurs early in the game. Your rox doesn't truly go, if you buy something it will go back to normal.
39) “Can I access my old account?.'
Accounts from the now closed original site were not saved. You will need to create a new account.
40) “Cutscenes in missions don't work.'
Mission cutscenes that weren't part of the game engine are not in the rewritten at the moment. You can watch them all here - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xDhpTIoOqIE
41) “There are duplicate moshlings in my room.'
Yes, this is a current glitch when you have multiple of one moshling, it still adds both to the room.
42) “How do I zoom in?'
Right click outside the frame and click zoom in/zoom out. If this does not work you have an outdated version of the desktop app and will need to use ctrl + on the keyboard.
43) “My trophies disappeared.'
This is often fixed by refreshing. If that doesn't work, @ me and give me your username and I will sort it out. Data rescue pc3 serial.
44) “Beanstalk music keeps repeating.'
This is a glitch from the old site, you will need to reload.
45) “I am not given permission to access.'
This is likely due to the administrator of your device blocking the application, whether it be at school or by a parent. You will need to discuss this with them. If you are referring to being told the app is 'unsafe' or by an 'unknown developer', please see question 32.
46) “I found an inappropriate username.'

No, you do not need to pay for anything, Membership is free for everyone.
