1. Copy the Omnisphere.dll file (of the required bit depth: x86 / x64 / aax) to the folder where your plugins and synthesizers are located.
(Before patching the Omnisphere.dll file, make sure that its properties are not read-only, it’s probably worth it, remove it (otherwise nothing will work))
2. Disable your antivirus (otherwise your DAW will crash with an error) in order to patch the file Omnisphere.dll and correctly register it.
3. Start KeyGen.exe (as administrator) and press the PATCH button in the running KeyGen.
4. In the window that opens, go to the path where you copied the Omnisphere.dll file from 1 point and open it in KeyGen. In a few seconds, the following inscription should appear in KeyGen: Successfully patched! KeyGen is not closed!
5. Run your DAW (You need to rescan your plug-ins and synthesizers for new ones, if it does not support this function in automatic mode) and load Omnisphere into it.
6. A window appears that says: Unable to access plugin folder at C: ProgramData Spectrasonics STEAM Omnisphere. Check folder permissions. Click OK in it.

16. A window will appear that says: Unable to access plugin folder at C: ProgramData Spectrasonics STEAM Omnisphere. Check folder permissions. Click OK in it.
17. And the last window with the inscription: “Can not load Multi data because it is corrupted (either from song or from multi file”). Try downloading another Multi from the Multi browser.
18. Then again unload (remove) Omnisphere from your DAW and load it again.

When you update your patches or soundsources, you are updating files in your STEAM folder, which was created when you originally installed Omnisphere. Storing sound files on a secondary drive
If you are wanting to store your Omnisphere audio files on a second hard drive, you can put the Spectrasonics/STEAM folder onto your second drive. You will then need to create an alias or 'short cut' to this location on your main Mac or Windows drive. You can create an alias (Mac) or a short cut (Windows) by right-clicking (ctrl+click for Mac users) the STEAM folder and selecting it from the menu.
Once you have done this, you will then need to either locate or create the following folder on your main drive:

You will then need to move the STEAM alias folder (or the STEAM short cut folder) into the Spectrasonics folder on your main drive.
