The cast also includes Ben Daniels, Jason Tam, Jin Ha, and Erik Gronwall. On Easter Sunday, 2018 NBC ran a live broadcast of 'Jesus Christ Superstar.' Watching it, I thought that NBC did a credible job with the live broadcast. You expect flaws in a live broadcast and there were plenty from bad camera moves to cameras and their shadows being seen. Sadly, the live audio mix was subpar in many places.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s groundbreaking rock opera traces the last seven days ofChrist’s life, as seen through the eyes of a very jealous Judas Iscariot. It brings contemporary themes into the plot, and allows you to see Jesus as a human being like yourself — someone who has to face the trials and disappointments of being human.
And of course, there’s the awesome music.

Watch an encore performance on NBC, starring John Legend
NBC will bring back its Emmy-winning production of Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.
This is an Editor’s Pick here at Atlanta On The Cheap — if you haven’t seen this version, you should put it on your calendar.
The show will air at 7 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 12th, on the NBC network.
This spectacular production originally aired live on NBC back in 2018 on Easter Sunday.
The cast is amazing, and we love how diverse and inclusive it is, almost in the spirit of Hamilton.

Andrew Lloyd Webber is helping the social-distancing effort by releasing one of his musicals for FREE streaming every Friday. They run on his new YouTube channel, called The Shows Must Go On!
Each feature-length show will become available for streaming on YouTube at 2 p.m. on Friday and remain accessible—free of charge—for the next 48 hours.
Of course, the Good Friday release was Jesus Christ Superstar.
This means you have from now until 2 p.m. on Easter Sunday to stream this version, which is a 2012 adaptation starring Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm as Mary Magdalene and Ben Forster as Jesus. It’s a video capture of a British touring concert production.
